Kris Shock, LPC, CAC, serves as Clinical Supervisor for Southern Pines Recovery, providing clinical consultation and quality assurance oversight in support of SPR’s treatment team. Kris has been a Certified Addiction Counselor since 2016 and brings experience across every level of care in substance use and eating disorder treatment, including residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and supportive housing settings.
Kris currently serves as Clinical Director at Riverfront Recovery Center and is the founder of Healing Hope, LLC. She has held leadership roles within the recovery community, including past president of the Georgia Association of Recovery Residences and former membership chair of the Georgia Addiction Counselors Association.
Kris takes a humanistic approach to counseling, grounded in the belief that people grow when met with empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard. She values the therapeutic relationship as a space for clients to build self-awareness and understand how past experiences shape their present.
Kris holds a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Walden University.
